Project Type: Logo Client: Friends Community Church Women’s Group Challenge: Create a logo a women’s group to represent love and a Christ centered life Solution: For this logo I wanted to do something very graphic and bold yet feminine. I decided to go with a tattoo style and work the cross into the negative space in the center of the heart. The client asked that I add the verse reference around the edge. I used a light font that would help it stand out from the boldness of the heart but would also meld with the feel of the logo.
Project Type: Logo, Coat of Arms Client: Fans For Christ (FFC) Challenge: Create a logo/Coat of Arms to be used on shirts, banners and other promotional materials. I’m a geek and love gaming, sci-fi and fantasy. I found out one of the fandom groups was in the need of a new logo and were doing a contest to find one. I don’t normally enter design contests but I like this fan group and agree with what they are promoting. I also thought it might be fun to create and different than my normal routine.
Client: Transamerica Reinsurance ASC Committee Objective: Create colorful posters for the ASC fund raiser that represent the theme of Mardis Gras. Challenge: Every year Transamerica Reinsurance helps to raise funds for the ASC (Arts & Science Council) in Charlotte, NC. Each year they pick a theme and run events around it to get the employees involved. This year they chose Mardi Gras because the campaign fell during the week before and during Mardis Gras. To help get the employees more excited about the campaign I was tasked with creating colorful posters that represented Mardis Gras.
